TSA for Dummies: I plan to carry on my baggage:? |
Travel Info Does the TSA rule regarding the single quart size plastic bag with ziplock mean: 1. You can only pack "one" bag for everything or , 2. Can you use one single quart size for gels, one single quart size for solids, and one single quart size for liquids? Also, I plan to carry on a small personal bag. Do I need a quart size plastic bag for items in this bag as well? Haven't flown in 7 years. Thanks Travel Tips You can carry ONE quart size zip-top bag. Each item in that bag must be less than 3.4 oz. This goes for deodorant, lipstick, hair spray, toothpaste, etc. If you are going to carry-on, I recommend taking only what is necessary (your favorite cologne or perfume, liquid medicine, etc. Then buy travel size items that you can toss in the garbage when you fly back. Keep in mind liquid prescriptions will require a pharmacy label with the name matching your passport or photo id. Source(s): I am a travel agent. Other Travel Tips One ziplock plastic bag not to exceed the one quart size. You have to put your hygeine products and perfumes, etc in the bag and they cannot be more than 3 oz each. You cannot take gels or liquids in your carryon bag. This includes makeup. All have to be in the plastic bag. You will have to remove your shoes at security, too. |
