Help im moving to iad and i dont know what to do? |
Travel Info Im about to become a flight attendant and i will be moving out to Washington d.c in about a week. i want to know if anyone know any cheap hotel that i can rent for a bout a month, or any rooms. I dont know what to do, im homeless.!!! Travel Tips I know that there are a few extended stay hotels in the Dulles area. I used to arrange foreign travel to Virginia... Short term apartment rentals are around 1750+ per month. If you are going to be stationed here I would suggest renting an apartment (this will be a lot cheaper). For corporate short term rentals see: http://www.corporatehousing.com... (there is one property in Reston which is very close to Dulles) http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/... Extended Stay America: Chantilly -14420 Chantilly Crossing Ln. - Chantilly, VA 20151 3.58 miles from IAD Herndon - 1021 Elden St. Herndon, VA 20171 4.32 miles from IAD Sterling - Homestead Studio Suites 45350 Catalina Ct. Sterling, VA 20166 2.97 miles from IAD Chantilly - ExtendedStay Deluxe 4506 Brookfield Corporate Dr. Chantilly, VA 20151 4.61 miles from IAD Chantilly - Homestead Studio Suites 4504 Brookfield Corporate Dr. Chantilly, VA 20151 4.61 miles from IAD You will need a car in order to get around also. I know that there are shuttles from the hotels and there is an employee shuttle for Dulles (not sure of the limits of their service). I live in WV and drive past Dulles Airport every day to work... If you'd like for me to look for other options for you I would be willing to do this (since I know the area). Let me know if you need more help (click on my avatar to send me an e-mail). Best wishes! Heart is my Art Others Go to priceline.com and name your own price. Or get with the airline... its aolt cheaper to rent APTs then hotels. Do a google search of APTS for rent in washington DC Dulles airport is way out of town, so you don't want to be looking in Washington, DC, you're better off looking in Virginia. There is a Suburban Extended Stay in Sterling, that's not far, but it's about $100 a night (welcome to Washington!) You might start there and then move further out of town. It's not unusual for people to live 30 miles further out than Dulles and drive in. The good thing is the people are friendly. Good luck! Unfortunately I don't know about cheap hotels. The best long term hotel near Dulles, at 5.1 miles away is the Extended Stay America hotel in Sterling Virginia. They run 65 dollars a night, which is dirt cheap for this area. That is an AAA rate. There are apartments near Dulles airport in Herndon and in Reston, as well as Sterling and Chantilly. I assume you are looking for something to tide you over in the meantime. I would cast my vote with the Extended Stay America in Chantilly. Nice area, fair price, clean rooms and close to Dulles Airport. Call them and make a reservation. Do not arrive without a reservation. Wouldn't the airline you are going to work for be able to furnish some ideas for places to stay? Contact them, too. If you're going to be stationed out of Dulles, you want to live in western Fairfax County or Eastern Loudoun County. We have a 4 BR house with 2 BR's vacant, about 8 or 9 minutes drive from IAD. Very safe neighborhood, and we're good cooks. If you want to talk about renting temporary quarters, send me an e-mail. If you are allergic to cats, don't bother. Why not ask the human resources division of the company for some suggestions, they have to have some info on housing, hotels with discounts. |
