Travel Info In DC, is there any convience centers close to Union Station? Travel Tips In Union station itself there are a ton of places. By the amtrak trains there are newsstands with magazines, gum and drinks, batteries and stuff like that. If you head downstairs to the food court area, near the entrance to the metro there is another newsstand and a tschieffelys (spelling?) pharmacy. it has cards and umbrellas and medicine and assorted things like that. All depends on what you are looking for. Others There's a 7-Eleven at 801 Maryland Ave NE (8th & Maryland), about half a mile east of Union Station. if you walk Louisiana to New jersey, right on the corner, next to the Holiday inn, there's the best family run liquor store, convenience store and up stairs is a mini deli with fresh made food at great prices. Best place in DC for decent sandwiches , soda at fair prices. What am I saying, in DC proper, it's the ONLY place! frequent dc travel Inside the station. Look downstairs. |
