Is there a cheap way to get from Baltimore BWI airport to Westminster Md? |
Travel Info am traveling for court, need a cheap route..help pls.. Travel Tips Not really... You can take the light rail into Baltimore, then take the metro as far as Owings Mills. However, you'll still be about 20 miles short of Westminster. It'd probably be a $40 cab ride each way between Owings Mills and Westminster. If you're going to court for a minor traffic violation, it'd probably be cheaper to just pay the ticket. Others Carroll County, MD has no local transportation service which goes to the Owings Mills Metro Station. There is a M-9 bus which travels about 5 miles further north on Reisterstown Rd. - but you're still 12 miles away from Westminster. You could persuade a small town taxi service to take you from Glyndon to Westminster for $10 by asking him to turn off the meter. I've traveled from Baltimore to the DC suburbs for $50-60 - figure about $1 a mile. After your court date, reverse the above procedures. I agree with the other poster that you may be better off sending in the fine unless you're unable to afford the surcharge on your insurance policy. Pretty much the only way you are getting to Westminster from BWI is by ground vehicle. Even though Carroll County is close to Baltimore, it consists of a bunch of small towns scattered about in a rural countryside. It's not like the more immidiately suburban Baltimore County. You may want to look into BWI's website however, or call them to find out what kind of transportation services that they offer in regards to traveling to Westminster.
