How much of a problem would it be to get from Baltimore Airport to a Washington DC hotel? |
Travel Info How much of a problem would it be to get from Baltimore Airport to a Washington DC hotel? Travel Tips Choices are: Private Car $120 each way Airport Cab to Downtonw DC ~$80 SuperShuttle - ride in Van ~$35 Rent A Car - facility is 7 minutes from airport - trip time to DC depends on time of day ~1hr / 45min; most downtown hotels charge for parking -- cost depends on rental car rates Train - see note above about Amtrak & Marc - most trains run during rush hour -- less during mid-day Least Expensive - Bus / Metro as mentioned by Bob Note: cab from National Airport to Downtown Hotel ~ $20 or use Metro from that airport Source(s): Personal Experience - have flown into BWI >50 times on SWA Other Travel Tips What do you mean? I dont think it would be a problem. Why dont you just drive there? Im with my dad all the time to visit my aunt and we live down in Baltimore, and it's not a long drive down to Washington. Seriously, you should reconsider. take a taxi to dc or take light rail to lexington market (baltimore) and then take greyhound to union station in dc I haven't personally made this commute. The obvious, expensive answer would be to take a taxi or airport shuttle. You might also be able to take the MARC train (commuter train) into D.C. (check out their website). I know there's a light rail that goes from BWI into Baltimore, but I'm not not sure about the MARC. well, its about an hour drive (depending on traffic) honestly i have flown out of BWI once for the same reason you are contemplating it and i wont do it again. it is not worth the hassle (plus, me and 495 do NOT get along) hope this helps. There is an Amtrak that goes to and from Baltimore to DC every day. There is also a train, the MARC, that goes into Baltimore. My husband and I visited DC a year ago. We took the MARC from Union Station into Baltimore for a day in Baltimore. It isn't that expensive. Amtrak is more expensive. |
