Travel Tips If Wisconsin Ave. is mired in gridlock - better give yourself a little more time if you're driving by car. Another option - take Ride-On bus 100 Express to Shady Grove Metro station and take Red line train to Bethesda. If you catch the 6:30 AM bus at the Germantown Transit Center, you'll be in Bethesda by 7:15 AM or thereabouts. Others Traffic shouldn't be absolutely awful that early in the morning... But if it's absolutely critical that you're on time, you should probably leave at 6:45 or so and give yourself 45 minutes. It's only about 20 miles. Channel 7 was just doing this traffic study on 270 and they were going to Betheda from Frederick a little before 6:00 am. It took them an hour to get to Bethesda just before 7:00 am and traffic was only getting worse. Personally, I think you should leave at 6:30 am so that you can have time to find parking in Bethesda too. |
