Underground lair in Washington DC?

Travel Info
Okay well I'll start off by saying that I don't believe this. But I want to know if anyone else has heard that..
there's an underground place in DC that the president can go to whenever he wants.
My sister (who's now a freshman in college) had a friend who told her, back in seventh grade, that if you follow the stop signs in DC, they'll lead you to a place underground that the president can go to. So has anyone else heard this myth before?

Travel Tips
There are a lot of underground places in and around DC; there's practically a whole city block underground below the White House, and there are secure bunker-like areas that the president can go to. There's similar command centers for the Mayor of DC, too. But you can't get to them by following the stop signs--- I'm not even really sure how you would "follow" the stop signs anyway, since there is practically one on every corner!!! Anyway, these locations are kept secret, you would need to know where they are to get to them, and you would definitely need to be authorized to access them. Random citizens just can't show up and expect to be let in. And since it is more of an emergency command center than anything, the president can't go there "whenever he wants." OK, well he is the president, I suppose he could if he wanted to, but the purpose of the building is emergency operations, not relaxation or holding meetings or whatever, so the president is expected not to go there unless there is a crisis/emergency.

There is also a pretty big installation (not sure what to call it) and operation underground, in Langley, VA, at CIA headquarters.

That sounds really cool, so I'll just act like it's true. I love to believe myths like that even if it is rubbish. Cheers. If it were true only the government would know about it.
It is absolutely not true
I know there is a tunnel (escape route) for emergencies to
protect the President and VIP's. But everything is top secret
so you won't find anything on the web about it.
As for any other underground for the public, I never heard of
any in Washington DC. There is one in Atlanta though.
