Travel Info What are summers like in Washington D.C.? Travel Tips Hot, humid, steamy, sticky, yucky. Avoid DC area from late June to late August We only have 2-3 weeks of good weather in DC and normally people can't enjoy those weeks because of the allergy season!! LOL Others Hot, humid and long. hot and rain but always beautiful They are hot on a few occasions. but motly warm. Rarely will you see it drop below 70 at night. It's typical temperate climate just like NYC. Once a week you'll get a thunderstorm. Lived in Baltimore 44 miles from DC. Usually quite humid, frequent late-afternoon thunderstorms especially in August, hazy, and not that pleasant. We have been lucky lately with less humidity than usual but in general it is sticky, hot and uncomfortable. Hot and Humid. It's not as humid as Norfolk, but if your not used to it, it can feel horrid. |
