Travel Tips
If you want to get the DC feel, go downtown and get photos with the monuments, Capitol, or White House in the background. If you want the Capitol, go to the sidewalk on D St and North Capitol. Stand in front of the pool and you'll have the fountains and the Capitol Dome in the background. I walk past there every day, and during the spring there's often a wedding party being photographed there. So follow the professionals - they know best!

If you're willing to drive a bit into Virginia and want something natural, there's also Great Falls National Park.
Others
too bad you didnt say baltimore county...because the Canton area would be perfect!
Great Falls, The tidal basin, The reflecting pool, The Potomac River shoreline.
