On route 495 west, going around DC, what is the huge white building? |

Yup it's the Mormon Temple, it's so strange because for much of the beltway you don't see many big buildings and then here comes this giant temple. Who knew there were so many Mormons in the DC area! It's the Mormon Temple. Visitors ask that a lot and think it looks like Disneyland. DC area native Mormon Temple. Some call it OZ, because it looks like the city of OZ from the movie. someone once placed a banner there that said Welcome to OZ! Yes, its the Mormon Temple. Located near the Connecticut Avenue/Kensington exists. The gold posts are made of real gold. |
