Washington D.C. trip in 8th Grade?

ok so im going on the washington dc and new york trip in less than a year for a school trip. sign ups r now so i need to find out some info on the things u do there. has anyone been on this 8th grade trip? wat did u do and did u have fun? i need to know if this is a worthwhile trip because it costs 2500 dollars. yes, 2,500$$$.

Travel Tips
The experience is outstanding, but your particular cost seems very high. If you or your parents can't afford it at the moment, suggest the family take a trip to D.C. in the future (..and drive yourself). If you plan your trip correctly, you can see everything the school has planned (..and more) for much less.
