Is Langley, Virginia ghetto in anyway? What about Virginia Beach? |
Travel Info I was wondering if Langley, VA is ghetto. I also wanted to know if Virginia Beach is a tough place. It would also be helpful if you could tell me some famous Hip-hop artist or professional athletes from anywhere in Virginia. Travel Tips Are you referring to the area around Langley AFB, or do you mean Langley Virginia, the fancy Washington DC suburb and home of the CIA? The base is ghetto and the other place is a quiet and snobby area filled with multi-millionnaires. Virginia Beach is a little better than Langley AFB but not by much. Both places are filled with military types and their families. I don't know of any hip hoppers from there. Source(s): Been there, done that. Other Travel Tips I never found one single ghetto in all of Fairfax County. In fact, quite the opposite. Bored rich kids who do drugs and get in trouble. However, from what I understand, Virginia Beach does have some questionable areas. Michael Vick, who plays for the Atlanta Falcons, went to Virginia Tech. I don't know if he's from Virginia, though. Now I don't know where the previous person was from, but I have been in some ghettos or bad sections of Alexandria. Also Langley VA and Virginia Beach are at two different ends of the state. Langley is in Northern Virginia while Virginia Beach is in the South East. However Langley AFB is only 15 minutes away from Virginia Beach. Maybe that is what you were thinking. Anyway Virginia Beach does have a very high crime rate. I believe most of it is a place you would want to stay out of unless you stay down by the beach and the tourist areas. Vick did go to Virginia Tech and is from the Norfolk area. No Langley is not Ghetto, and VA Beach is not tough unless you make it. Michael Vick-Football is from here American Idol - Chris Richardson and many many other athletes are from hamptonroads (Newport News, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk) Timberland, Missy Elliot, N.E.R.D, are some other stars from here. Also Virginia Beach is usually in the top 25 best large cities, low crime here. There are a few problem areas but every city has them. Langley is far from ghetto. It is a mainly white, rich area. Virginia Beach is where black kids hang out. It is ghetto. Famous hip hop not from Virginia. They from DC. |
