Is Oxon Hill Maryland a bad part of town? |
Travel Info I know it is in the South East side of the DC metro area, which I have heard is a BAD part of town. Is Oxon Hill dangerous and ghetto too? Travel Tips SE Washington DC is not a bad part of town. You are referring to Anacostia, Maryland, right across it. Oxon Hill, Maryland is a bad part of town. It along with Anacostia are located in Prince George's County, the worst county in terms of crime and jobs in Maryland. Others Honestly, it has its ups and downs. But it's not generally safe, no. I have a friend who use to live there, and I always made sure that I left her place before dark. **** yes!!!!!! Stay out of there I wouldn't live there for one minute....nope, never, nah. It's not the worst...there's many more that are just as good, just as bad. But Oxon hilll does have many robberies I live near Oxon Hill and had a friend who lived there. If you're working there during the day, like a 9-5, I wouldn't say it's bad. If you plan on being out on the streets past midnight, maybe. But it's dangerous everywhere right outside of DC. Including Alexandria! I've never had a problem in Oxon Hill -- closer the the Ft. Washington area. Plus, it takes people who aren't "dangerous" to bring an area out of a low point. |
