Does anyone know about southern maryland.What are the places of tourist interest? |
Travel Info I want to know about the climate there in this month. What route is most preferred from India & which airlines operate. Travel Tips Saint Michaels seaport in Southern MD is a seaport town to visit that is very nice. You would need to fly in to BWI (Baltimore Washington Airport) and drive south. Check your end for flights to that airport. So far this month the days have been running in the 70's and the nights in the 50's. Check www.weather.com and put in the town and state for a 10 day forcast. Others Lived in S Maryland for 15 years.......there is the peninsula and south of Ocean city........ the peninsula.......has great seafood........Point lookout........ St mary's city.......piney point has a great restaurant called EVANs...... go north and cross over the bridge to solomon's island..........nice scenic place...... call ahead for rooms they fill up fast........ you can fly into: Reagan international........Dulles...... BWI....... Washington DC is 40 miles north....... You are coming from India? That is a long way! You should visit Baltimore City and Washington, DC. Baltimore-Washington International Airport or Dulles Airport are the common ones to take. Dulles is more in Washington DC, and BWI is south of Baltimore. There is a lot to do in DC, all of the Smithsonian museums are FREE of charge, and the monuments are very pretty. You can see the White House and the Washington Monument. Baltimore has an excellent aquarium and science center. The rest of southern Maryland is just rural like the ocean, bay, and beaches on the eastern shore. Southern Maryland is beautiful this time of year. We're known for our seafood, but this is also a farming community, so check out places like Solomon's Island for some fresh crabs and stop in at any of the local farmer's markets for fresh produce. Also, check the newspapers for local festivals in the area. There's usually something interesting going on somewhere nearby. |
