Train services from Washington, DC to Richmond, VA or DC to Durham, NC?? |
Travel Info Amtrak can't get me to VA on time so i need another service company and I don't agree with Amtrak's price from DC to NC so does anyone know a cheaper way? Travel Tips Check out the VRE and see if it goes that far. It might work. www.vre.org Others Sorry Amtrak is the only train service from Washington to Richmond and beyond. VRE (Virginia Railway Express) only goes as far as Fredericksburg. You would be short about 40 miles to Richmond. Amtrak is the only Train service, You might try the bus or rent a car Amtrak is the only train service that would go there. But they're usually not the cheapest way to travel unfortunately - maybe because there's no competition. You could check the Greyhound bus. The only other way would be to fly (it's a short flight but it might not be worth it by the time you get to the airport and go through security, etc... and plus it's probably not cheap). |
