Washington D.C?

Travel Info
I am taking a vacation there and want to know if anyone has tips or tricks for sight seeing

Travel Tips
The best way to see as much of DC as you can is take the Tour Mobile, which travels the Mall area and makes frequent stops-I am not certain of the daly ticket costs-or you can go the web site for Grayline Tours-if you have time, write your congressman and he might be able to get you tickets into the Congressional galleries...................I have been to Dc innumerable times and still haven't seen it all..................

yes, you should go earlier in the morning to beat the day time rush, this way you can also see more in one day!
Start early on the mall, if you have kids they'll want to spend more time in the air n space museum! You could probably spend one whole day just visiting the museums. Get an attractions map, no doubt you'll see the things that interest you first! There is so much to see it'll boggle your mind. The national arboretum is incredible and so is arlington cemetery. Don't forget the night life, D.C. has great night clubs, shows and a killer symphony!
As a Baltimore born Marylander who's made a few trips to Washington DC in his life-time, I'm not expert on the district, but I know enough about it to realize that the DC Metro subway is the best way to get around town.

If you aren't firmiliar with the lay of the land in DC, it can be a very confusing place to drive around, secondly, parking spaces for tourists in DC are extremely hard to come by.

So I stongely suggest the DC metro for whatever tourist attractions that you want to see.
Use the Old Town Trolley. It is the best thing to do because it stops at all the major tourist attractions includeing all the Smithsonians the Capitol Building The White House The VP House and a lot more fun and exciting things. It is a little expencive but is it worth it all. trust me.
The ticket price is around $32 for adults $24 for children. and that is for all day long. The tour guides even give you details on the major tourist attractions.
