Try National. I was able to rent a car in NYC at National without a credit card, but with a mastercard debit card. You have to be over the age of 25, however. If you are under that age, you would have to put down a large cash deposit. Even still, always - and I stress ALWAYS - call the location and ask. Don't trust sites like Priceline. I had booked a car with Budget on Priceline and they told me I didn't need a credit card, but once I was at the Budget in NYC, they told me otherwise. The above answer is incorrect. Do you have a debit card in your name? Are you at least 25? Will you have proof of a roundtrip ticket? Do you have a valid driver's license? A copy of a phone or utility bill? It's easier if you have a debit card, otherwise check with Alamo It is not going to happen. In the DC area, you MUST have a credit card to rent a car. You better try to get yourself a credit card. |
