To people living in Northern Virginia: Who has never experienced crime there? |
Travel Info I mean to those living in Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun counties, along with Alexandria, VA: I know that these places are relatively very safe...yet crime is everywhere; though in variable rates...but did anyone living there found this place to be extremely safe and has never experienced any crime; at least against him? With the answer, could you please state from which place are you? Travel Tips I'm one of the very few natives of Arlington. I live in a very fancy "neighborhood" full of strangers. Growing up here I was constantly bullied. I have been visited by burglars twice, once after sunrise. I scared them both off, but one got my pants which were on the floor beside my bed. He got my keys and wallet. I got the wallet back, minus the cash, and there were no credit cards to take. I had to take a day off from work to get the locks changed on the house and to change my ignition lock. Not too long ago somebody clubbed me over the head from behind, knocked me out and took my wallet. There was an awful lot of blood, and I might have been killed except that I was hit on the exact spot on the back of my head where my knit cap was turned up, giving me four layers of knit fabric for padding. I have had so many bikes stolen that I lost count, and my car has been broken into once in Arlington and once on the Georgetown University campus. Others I think Herndon is full of Hispanics and has a high crime rate I have lived since 1982 in Vienna, and briefly in Annandale (for about 3 years). The only crime I have experienced was way back in 1982, my son (at that time about 10 years old) left his bicycle unlocked and it was stolen. Vienna is in Fairfax County. I have read about crime in the newspapers, of course, but not experienced it as yet at home. Hi! Have lived in Loudoun County since 89 and I personally have never experienced any crime against me or my family! currently living in Leesburg since 2000 and before that was Ashburn. I must pick the right places huh? |
