What are some romantic places in DC to take my friend to?

I'd like to know restuarants, music clubs (jazz, blues, etc), and beautiful sites (day / night).

jazzzzzzzzz.......u have got to try blues alley in dc.....very intimate.....really nice....and its literally in an alley........lol.....then there's the birchmere out in alexandria va........very close....right around pentagon city mall.....awesome time.....have fun!!!!!!
Others
Try the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden on the corner of Independence Avenue and Seventh Street SW, and Cosi at Dupont Circle. It makes for a fun afternoon/evening.
Check out the Jefferson Memorial and the Smithsonian museums that interest you. The Smithsonian museums are really fun and best of all, they are free :) Also a fun restaurant to eat at is Mongolian Grill. They let you pick your own ingredients and they cook it together right in front of you. Bethesda is a neat town to go to right outside of D.C. (You can take the subway) if you have a little extra cash and you want to go shopping. It is expensive though, so beware!! Have fun in DC, it's a great place!!
My experience in DC
If you have a car, take your girl (or guy) to Brookside Gardens in Wheaton Regional Park. It is located on Glenallen Avenue just off of Georgia and Randolph Roads. The annual Wings of Fancy butterfly exhibit is going on now and goes until Sept. 10. It is open daily from 10 until 4. Best to go on a sunny day after 1 pm. Tickets are $5.

This is a live butterfly exhibit in the Brookside Conservatory and there are about 400 butterflies flying inside at this time. As the season goes on, we will have around 900 butterflies.

Nothing more romantic than butterflies.
