International Spy Museum? |
Travel Info If you have been to the one in DC please tell me what you thought or tell me if this sounds fun... It is a museum full of gadgets and other things that real spies used like a lip-stick pistol or other wierd stuff like that. Thanx Travel Tips Its great fun for kids, beware not to go during vacation time though, gets very very busy and you should book in advance, theres a great burger bar just around the corner also so when your done or waiting for your time slot pop in there for a quick snack or a filling meal. Others it's awesome. you get a fake identity for a very brief part of the tour to test your sleuth and memory. they have facts about spies all over the world. you can wlk through and ac duct and spy on other museum-goers from above. they have trinkets and such from spy-movies (i.e. the multi-licensed plate car from James Bond), spy papers and documents. cool souveniers. it's a long and detailed museum, so set a lot of tiem aside for it if you really love going into all of that detail. I went there in April, it's really overrated. I mean if you buy the ticket, around $16, and spend 3-4 hours there, i guess it's worth it. I think it is a lot of fun - there are all kinds of exhibits on spying, some more traditional, some interactive. It's a museum that guides you through, and I can't imagine not spending most of the afternoon there. Lots of spy gear, lots of information on how spies work. Very nicely put together museum. It sometimes seems expensive in DC, since so much of the Smithsonian is free, but I think it is worth it. http://www.spymuseum.org/ http://www.washingtontravelcast.com... |
