How is it living in Bethesda, MD?

Travel Info
I will be working at the NIH and living about 1 block from the NIH campus in Bethesda. I was wondering what is your opinion of the area? I am 22 yr old male recent graduate. So I would like to know about "fun" things to do in the area. You know the "hip" bars/clubs and trendy spots and what not.

Travel Tips
Bethesda is a nice neighborhood, though it is composed of many young families, quite a few younger professionals live there as well. The Woodmont area of downtown Bethesda has some nice restaurants and cafe type places, though I don't think I would describe it as particularly hip or trendy. Most young professionals instead head to Adams Morgan or Capital South in DC to go to some bars. You should head into Adams Morgan one weekend night and find a bar you like, as their is plenty to chose from. Bethesda is a good place to live, but probably for fun things to do, you will find yourself heading into the city. Since its so close, you really will get the best of both, which is one of the reasons its more expensive to live there.
