My husband and i are going to vacation in and around the Washington dc area.does anyone know where it would be

We need to have a pet freindly room. The prices we would like to stay around would be $$90.00 to $120.00/night.

According to the book Dog Friendly Washington DC and the Mid-Atlantic States, you can stay in that range at the Hotel Harrington, or the Holiday Inn either on Rhode Island Avenue or Downtown at 14th Street. The Holiday Inns might be a tad more expensive. The Harrington is a modest hotel, but the location, a couple blocks from the white House, a couple blocks from the mall, and a block from Pennsylvania Avenue, and prices start around $99 a nightfor two people.

There is a deposit with a dog at any hotel. Refundable if the dog does not do any damage.

In conjunction with the answer above, you may find good pricing for the hotels she mentioned by checking with www.quikbook.com -- I find them helpful for getting good prices in DC and NYC.
It's on the Potomac right between Virginia and Maryland.
I am not positive on prices (they may vary), but I know there are several Kimpton hotels in DC - not only do they look like cool places to stay, but they are all pet-friendly. Here's a link to all the Kimpton Hotels in DC: http://www.kimptonhotels.com/hotels_wash...

You'd have to check with your exact dates, etc., but I know I've heard Hotel Helix advertised for as low as $98/night.

Also, check out Kayak.com - it is a search engine that searches all the search engines (like orbitz, cheaptickets, etc., as well as directly from all the hotels). It has a little doggie icon next to all the hotels that are pet-friendly, and it's a great site for finding the best hotel deals! Good luck!
Washington Suites in Alexandria, Virginia has pet friendly rooms and charge $20 a night per pet. It is 9 miles from DC and has a shuttle to the Metro. The prices are usually better because it is not in the city.
