What is the best hotel to stay close to all touristy things in Washington DC? I am only staying 1 night.? |
Travel Info The hotel needs to be family friendly and preferrably near the metro or the mall. Travel Tips I would recommend the Quality Inn Iwo Jima in the Rosslyn Section of Arlington. It is within walking distance to a metro station and just across the river from Washington, DC. The Quality Inn is not fancy, but it is affordable (as cheap as $70-80/night) and has a pool. Just be sure to ask for a room with an interior corridor. At the Rosslyn Metro station there is a CVS so you can stock up on water and snacks, and on the second floor above the Metro Station there is a food court - the Mexican restaurant has good and affordable food. There is also a Safeway grocery store on Wilson Boulevard and a small grocery store next door to the metro station (across the street from a Burger King) in case you want to get food to have in your room or take with you. Source(s): used to work in Rosslyn, now live in Pittsburgh and am a frequent visitor to Rosslyn Other Travel Tips the Hilton is the best hotel it has the best pillows and very comfortable. -good luck or just go on this website. http://www.hotels.com/?psrc=inkt&js=1&zz... Woodfin inn. They have a free shuttle that will take you to shady grove train station and any place in a five mile radius of the hotel. Continental breakfast and they also have a VCR and DVD player in your room Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City. Is attached to a cool mall with access to the Metro Rail system. Hotel Harrington, not fancy but comfortable and close to everything! |
