Ocean City MD.? |
Travel Info IS THERER ANY GOOD RESTAURANTS IN OCEAN CITY MD.? Travel Tips There are lots: If you want more upscale, Fager's Island is my choice. And every night they (at least used to) play the 1812 Overture to correspond with the sun setting over the bay. http://www.fagers.com/restaurant/... There is also BJ's and Castaways. The food is decent and the atmosphere is just right for a week at the beach. http://www.bjsonthewater.com/ http://www.occastaways.com/ also check out http://www.sunnydayguide.com/oceancity/d... for others. Harpoon Hannah's is also a good choice. Ribs: Nick's is my choice, although a lot of people like JR's. Personally, Phillips is okay, but I think a bit over-rated. For crabs I like Higgins. For a family, I like Fish Tales - you eat out on their sand patio looking over the bay and they have a playground for the kids. Very laid back. And yes - you MUST have breakfast at Bayside one morning. One omelette will easily feed 2, even 3, people. AVOID: Paul Revere's Smorgasbord & Jonah and the Whale. Also English's. Pretty much w/ the all-you-can eat you mostly get what you pay for. There are no great deals. Others Phillips! Theres three of them I believe. Awesome seafood! Also - the Greene Turtle is fun if you like a kitshy sports bar. Try the Bayside Skillet for breakfast too! Amazing Omlettes. Phillips and the Harborview are very good. Ocean City is a vacation resort, even though it's starting to see more full-time residents, it still thrives off of season tourism. You don't have to worry about finding a good restaraunt. My personal favorites are Coins (seafood), and Nick's (good ribs, good sports bar). I agree a lot with apbanpos. My family loves The Little House of Pancakes around 70th street. They have great ribs and pizza and reasonable prices for the beach. The Bonfire is also around 70th street. It is an out of this world seafood and more buffet, but it is pricey. Be prepared to spend at least $30 a person before tax and tip. If you want something quick, Conner's on the boardwalk is good and there are Dough Roller restaurants everywhere. For a great snack Fisher's on the boardwalk has the best popcorn in town and although there are a lot of other candy stores in town, Wockenfuss' Candy Shop, also on the boardwalk, has out of this world caramel apples. Try Bahama Mama's I rememeber it being near the end of the boardwalk up where the carnival rides are. If you are willing to get up at 4 am.. you can actually go out on the peirs and watch them catch the crabs. I went a few years ago and i got to help it was great. They have a all you can eat crabs and shrimp.. and they have a reasonable hotel room attached to the eatery. |
