What is there to do near RFK Stadium in Washington DC? |
Travel Info My wife and I are going to a Nationals game (yea, I know, they were free tix), but we wanted to know if there is anything else to do near the stadium or good places to eat. Preferably at the same metro stop, the Stadium-Armory Stop. Thanks. Travel Tips I advise you not to hang around the stadium area, .but to get into downtown D.C. RFK Stadium is NOT in a good neighborhood, and not exactly the safest place to be. It's fine to go during the day for a big event, but don't stay there afterwards. There are many great spots in D.C. to visit - Georgetown especially. Others No, that is primarily a residential area, and not a great one at that. Some options would be for you to go to either eastern market or union station prior, both areas have plenty of restaurants and are metro and bus accessible. Eastern market is on the same metro line as the stadium, union station is on the red line, both have buses that go to rfk, if you don't want to take the train. It's a dangerous area. Run to the Metro station and go anywhere else. There is absolutely nothing to do near the RFK stadium. You can go about two subway stops to Eastern Market and find a nice restaraunt, starbucks, ice cream and the like ...good luck |
