Fireworks in Charlletsville Virginia???? |
Travel Info Does anyone have any good places to cathc a firework show tmw night anywhere around Charlletsville, Scottsville, Afton, Waynesboro, Wintergreen, Etc..... P.S will the loud burst startle my unborn baby? Travel Tips McIntyre Park in Charlottesville has a very nice fireworks show every year, starting at dark (usually about 9:30 PM). Many people arrive 2-3 hours early to get good parking at nearby locations, or to pick a spot for their blanket and have a picnic while they wait. There's a playground there for young kids. There are usually concession stands, live music, some rides. The fireworks are loud. If you are past your 20th week of pregnancy, your baby will probably be able to hear them and might kick in response. You may be able to feel the vibration of the louder explosions, and your baby will feel those as well. They are not loud enough to hurt his/her body or hearing - your body provides about 25 dB of attenuation - about the same as putting your fingers in your ears. Others Never heard of the place. It's Charlottesville - and McIntyre Park in Charlottesville usually puts on a good show. I'm no expert on unborn babies but I'd say the bursts aren't all that loud since it's from a distance... |
