Has anyone gone speed dating in DC before?

What's a good way to meet people beside the bar scene and through friends? I've lived here all my life and have done both of the aforementioned, and have yet to really meet anyone worthwhile... I was thinking of speed dating... any experiences??

Speed dating is not much different than hanging out at bars in DC.

If you want to meet nice people I would highly recommend Single Volunteers of DC. They have over 10,000 members and do all kinds of amazing volunteer events. You can volunteer as much or as little as you want.
