Where's the best place to stand to view the July 4th parade in Washington DC? |
Travel Info Hi, my husband is going to be in the July 4th parade tomorrow. My one year old and I are planning on taking the METRO into the city to watch it. Does anyone have any advice on where to stand to get a good view? What time do people start piling down there? It starts at Constitution and 7th and goes down to 17th. I was thinking less people may be near the end of the route.... Any help out there? Travel Tips My favorite spots: Ii front of the National Museum of Natural History on 10th Street and Constitution Ave., NW or the National Museum of American History on 14th Street and Constitution Ave. Take the Metro Center Stop (served by the red, orange and blue lines) to exit on 11th Street (between F and G Streets) for the National Museum of Natural History, or the 12th Street Exit for the National Museum of American History. Then walk toward Constitution Ave.. Map: http://www.mnh.si.edu/visit/maps.htm... Metro Rail link: http://www.wmata.com/metrorail/systemmap... Note the parade's Start Time: 11:45 a.m. Parade Route: Constitution Avenue and 7th to 17th Sts. Good luck and have fun... |
