When visiting Ireland (from the US) what should I expect to pay for a moderate cottage rental? |
Travel Info 2 adults, non-smoking if possible, no city center Travel Tips My husband and I went to Ireland in 2001, and booked everything through the website that I'm putting at the end of this answer. It was absolutely fabulous!!! We went in November, and paid $450 for the entire week! The cottage, was actually a two story new home, overlooking the ocean. Ireland is truly breathtaking!!! Here's the website, and they have a special promotion going on right now. www.irishcottagevacations.com I hope you both have a wonderful time, if you do go! Others Depends what season you go at but during high season( May to September) you could pay up to 750 euros(roughly 780 dollars) for a wekk. Espically if you go outside the city to the country side. Your best bet for cheaper rental would be to look for private rentals (advertised on the web or in newspapers) then going through a agency as these are dearer. We stayed outside Rosscaberry in the south. The cottage was on a hill beside the ocean. Fireplace, farm road to get to. I think it was around 1400 for 2 weeks.Always had a peat fire going at nite while sipping some Jameson.Been ti Ireland 6 times and going back in Sept. any questions ask for my e-mail. |
