I was thinking of buying some for my old bat !!!

It is.. but you can get the same quality from some of the other Irish crystal factories (which were set up by ex-waterford crystal workers). Galway, and I think Killarney crystal are just as good.Its not cheap but neither is it prohibitive. Have a look at the John Lewis website, that'll give you an idea.
It depends on whether you think $100 per drinking glass is expensive or not.
