How do I best go about moving to New Zealand?

I@m in the Army, have applied for a transfer over, but would like to go as a civillian. Some sites offer a service but its expensive and I don't know how trustworthy... any ideas?

well, if you want to go for a visit as a tourist you don't even need a visa if you're American; if you want to move there and stay for a long time, I'd agree that studying or working there is a very good way
