What are some of the safe and trendy areas to live in in Winnipeg? |
Travel Info Moving to Winnipeg in a year or so... Am trying to do some research about where I might be interested in living... Any ideas as to where the trendier areas are (good dining, coffee shops, bars?) Travel Tips Osborne Village and Corydon Avenue are where most bars, restaurants and clubs are. They are structured in such a way that there is a "main street" (Osborne Street and Corydon Avenue) with the places to go, and the sorrounding area is mostly residential with old houses. The most beautiful houses and a "hippie" style of living are in the gorgeous Wolseley. Another beautiful neighborhood is the Exchange District downtown, is made of 20 blocks of turn of the century warehouses and is really taking off pretty well. Very good ethnic restaurants are on Ellice street. Neverthless, you may also want to consider where your school/office will be, and decide on the basis of that too. If you'll attend the University of Manitoba you may want a place on Pembina Highway or nearby. Source(s): Live in Winnipeg. Other Travel Tips Haha! If you want trendy areas I would consider a city in Canada besides "Winterpeg". Maybe Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver? HA HA HA in winterpeg there are no trendy areas lots of homless drugies and bikers not to mention the hookers on every corner and there are some trendy back streets that you can get mugged raped stabbed of shot and all that is free I don't know, but my dad was from winnipeg, it's really cold in the winter. |
