Any good teen stores in winnipeg? |
Travel Info I'm going to Winnipeg in 6 days, and i wanted to know any good teen stores? to be more specific, like expensive cosmetic/hair shops, plus sized clothing, shoe stores, and vintage stores in general. but im on a price range for the clothing, and the shoes. also, what are some of the funner things to do in winnipeg, that if your a tourist, you just CANNOT miss? thanks for the help! Travel Tips For a good mix of generic and specialty shopping, go to Polo Park and St.Vital shopping malls. Visit The Forks Market for some great local flavor. Eclectic tastes can be found in Osborne Village....walk down Osborne Street and River and you will find some neat hidden treasures. Also, check out the Manitoba Legislative building (10-15minute walk from The Forks down Broadway....which runs in to Osborne street too) Visiting the Zoo is always nice....it's not the best zoo in the world, but I like it. Try taking a train ride on the Prairie Dog Central. Go indoor go-kart racing at Speedworld (speedworld.ca). Oh...it's super nice out now...check out all the patios and shops and restaurants on Corydon Avenue. Assinaboine Park is nice, although it needs some updating....the Zoo is there too. Go the $ and the time??book a hot air balloon ride over the city. Google winnipeg tourism for more. Others Go to the Forks....enough said I live near Winnipeg and when i go there this is what my family does... We go for a shopping spree at Polo park or you could go to St. Vital Park. I read that you need plus sizes in clothes so go to the store called +13. Anyways you could try Claire's store at Polo Park, they have cool accesories and great deals. For a good laugh visit Spencer's Gift Shop at Polo Park. If you are a tourist you can't miss the Bears On Broadway, on Broadway. Check out the children's museum and the museum of man and nature. Go to Payless Shoe Store for shoes, Wallmart or Sears also works. By the way ballerina satin slipper shoes are in style and so are crocs. Have a great time.
